Where patients once stayed, your family now sleeps. The former wards have been converted into spacious, light rooms with their own character. Art by Outsider Arthouse adorns the walls and the large windows let in the Drenthe light.
Four apartments sleep 4 guests, with a seating area, dining table and mezzanine. Two apartments sleep 2 guests. An extra bed or cot is possible on request.

A hotel with family rooms in Veenhuizen
A family room inside a national monument is rare. Our apartments occupy the former hospital wards on the first floor: tall windows, plenty of daylight and a mezzanine where the children sleep while you stay up a little longer.
Four apartments sleep 4 people, two sleep 2. An extra bed or cot can be arranged on request, and two family apartments are reachable by lift.

Out and about with children
There is plenty for children around the hotel: the National Prison Museum with its trails, the De Slokkert brook valley, and the kitchen garden and orchard on our own grounds. Bikes can be hired in the village and walking routes start at the door.
