Where the tall windows of the old hospital are softly lit by candlelight and laughter echoes against the monumental walls, we bring the real feeling of Christmas to Veenhuizen this year.
No overblown glitter, but a vintage Christmas with soul: warm lights, delicious food and encounters that linger long after the evening ends. Here, Christmas does not feel like a date on the calendar, but like a moment to pause and appreciate what truly matters.
In this monumental building, where the history of the Colony of Benevolence is still palpable, we celebrate Christmas as it should be: with care, warmth and a touch of nostalgia.
Veenhuizen has a rich history and many nature reserves - the perfect combination to slow down.

Until 1 November, dinner can only be booked in combination with a hotel overnight stay. If you book a hotel overnight stay, the Christmas dinner is automatically included. From 1 November onwards, dinner-only bookings open.

Chef Peter, Sous-Chef Jos and Cook Lars prepare our Christmas menu largely with organic and local produce. A vegetarian option is available. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.

A Christmas overnight stay includes the Christmas dinner and breakfast buffet. Lunch can be booked separately. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Until 1 November, the Christmas dinner is only available in combination with a hotel overnight stay; from 1 November, standalone dinner bookings open. Also ideal for company drinks, family dinners and other festive gatherings.
