New Year's Eve
On 31 December we celebrate old and new inside the monumental hospital. Firework-free and wonderfully quiet: the restaurant is open, the bar stays open all evening and from 11 p.m. we treat you to a house snack. Your dog is more than welcome — together we toast to a good new year.
Book quickly — once they're gone, they're gone. Reservations are simply made through our booking system.
The story
While the sky explodes with fireworks elsewhere, all is wonderfully calm around Bitter en Zoet. Veenhuizen celebrates New Year's Eve the way the village is: quiet, warm and attentive to one another. Inside our monumental hospital the lights glow and the last day of the year unfolds as an evening meant to be spent together.
The restaurant is open and the bar stays open all evening. At 11 p.m. our kitchen and brigade come out with a house snack, and at midnight we raise a glass to the new year together — with bubbles, warm stories and the feeling of coming home, if only for a night.
And because a New Year's Eve is only truly complete with your loyal companion by your side, your dog is more than welcome.

Veenhuizen has a rich history and many nature reserves - the perfect combination to slow down.
