Spring Festival at Maallust

On Saturday, May 9, Veenhuizen awakens from its winter sleep during the Spring Festival at Brouwerij Maallust. From 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, our neighbor celebrates spring with the finest fresh beers from friendly breweries across the country, live music, and the indispensable conviviality of the complex.

The perfect start (or finish) at Bitter & Zoet

Complete your festival visit by combining the historic atmosphere of our 1893 health cluster with the beer festival:

Lay a base: Join us before the festival for a hearty lunch in our restaurant in the old hospital. With our local and organic dishes, you'll have the perfect foundation for an afternoon of tasting.

Stay overnight after the toast: Don't feel like taking the shuttle bus home? Stay in one of our characterful rooms in the former pharmacy or the physician's house. This way, after the last beer, you can simply roll into your comfortable bed and enjoy an extensive breakfast the next morning.

Moment of calm: Do you want to escape the festival crowds for a bit? Our serene lanes and the tranquility of the Colony offer the ideal counterpoint to the energy of the festival grounds.

Tip: Combine your visit to the Spring Festival with the UNESCO World Heritage public day, which takes place on the same day. A day full of culture, history, and of course, a good glass of beer!
